25. سورة الْفُرْقَان

وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ لَا يَرْجُونَ لِقَاءَنَا لَوْلَا أُنزِلَ عَلَيْنَا الْمَلَائِكَةُ أَوْ نَرَى رَبَّنَا لَقَدِ اسْتَكْبَرُوا فِي أَنفُسِهِمْ وَعَتَوْ عُتُوًّا كَبِيرًاO(21)

اور جو لوگ ہماری ملاقات کی امید نہیں رکھتے کہتے ہیں کہ ہمارے اوپر فرشتے کیوں نہیں اتارے گئے یا ہم اپنے رب کو (اپنی آنکھوں سے) دیکھ لیتے (تو پھر ضرور ایمان لے آتے)، حقیقت میں یہ لوگ اپنے دِلوں میں (اپنے آپ کو) بہت بڑا سمجھنے لگے ہیں اور حد سے بڑھ کر سرکشی کر رہے ہیںo

And those who do not hope for meeting with Us say: ‘Why were angels not sent down to us? Or if we could see our Lord (with our own eyes, we would certainly believe).’ In fact they esteem (themselves) very highly in their hearts and are rebelling beyond bounds.

يَوْمَ يَرَوْنَ الْمَلَائِكَةَ لَا بُشْرَى يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُجْرِمِينَ وَيَقُولُونَ حِجْرًا مَّحْجُورًاO(22)

جس دن وہ فرشتوں کو دیکھیں گے (تو) اس دن مجرموں کے لئے چنداں خوشی کی بات نہ ہوگی بلکہ وہ (انہیں دیکھ کر ڈرتے ہوئے) کہیں گے: کوئی روک والی آڑ ہوتی (جو ہمیں ان سے بچا لیتی یا فرشتے انہیں دیکھ کر کہیں گے کہ تم پر داخلۂ جنت قطعاً ممنوع ہے)o

The Day when they will see the angels, there will be no matter of joy for the evildoers anyway on that Day. They will rather say (frightened on seeing them): ‘Would that there were a barricade (which could save us from them! Or the angles, on seeing them, will say: Entry to Paradise is totally forbidden for you.)’

وَقَدِمْنَا إِلَى مَا عَمِلُوا مِنْ عَمَلٍ فَجَعَلْنَاهُ هَبَاءً مَّنثُورًاO(23)

اور (پھر) ہم ان اعمال کی طرف متوجہ ہوں گے جو (بزعمِ خویش) انہوں نے (زندگی میں) کئے تھے تو ہم انہیں بکھرا ہوا غبار بنا دیں گےo

And (then) We shall turn to the deeds they (presumably) did (in life) and shall make them scattered dust particles.

أَصْحَابُ الْجَنَّةِ يَوْمَئِذٍ خَيْرٌ مُّسْتَقَرًّا وَأَحْسَنُ مَقِيلًاO(24)

اس دن اہلِ جنت کی قیام گاہ (بھی) بہتر ہوگی اور آرام گاہ بھی خوب تر (جہاں وہ حساب و کتاب کی دوپہر کے بعد جا کر قیلولہ کریں گے)o

On that Day, the lodging for the inmates of Paradise will be the best and their resting place (too) will be excellent (where they will retire for a nap after the reckoning noon).

وَيَوْمَ تَشَقَّقُ السَّمَاءُ بِالْغَمَامِ وَنُزِّلَ الْمَلَائِكَةُ تَنْزِيلًاO(25)

اور اس دن آسمان پھٹ کر بادل (کی طرح دھوئیں) میں بدل جائے گا اور فرشتے گروہ در گروہ اتارے جائیں گےo

And that Day the sky will be rent asunder, changed into (the resemblance of smoke, like) a cloud, and the angels will be sent down ranks upon ranks.

الْمُلْكُ يَوْمَئِذٍ الْحَقُّ لِلرَّحْمَنِ وَكَانَ يَوْمًا عَلَى الْكَافِرِينَ عَسِيرًاO(26)

اس دن سچی حکمرانی صرف (خدائے) رحمان کی ہوگی اور وہ دن کافروں پر سخت (مشکل) ہوگاo

That Day True Sovereignty will belong to the Most Kind (Lord) and that will be very hard (i.e. tough) Day on the disbelievers.

وَيَوْمَ يَعَضُّ الظَّالِمُ عَلَى يَدَيْهِ يَقُولُ يَا لَيْتَنِي اتَّخَذْتُ مَعَ الرَّسُولِ سَبِيلًاO(27)

اور اس دن ہر ظالم (غصہ اور حسرت سے) اپنے ہاتھوں کو کاٹ کاٹ کھائے گا (اور) کہے گا: کاش! میں نے رسولِ (اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی معیّت میں (آکر ہدایت کا) راستہ اختیار کر لیا ہوتاo

And that Day every wrongdoer will bite his hands (in fury and frustration and) will say: ‘Would that I had taken the path (of Guidance by joining) the companionship of the Holy Messenger (blessings and peace be upon him)!

يَا وَيْلَتَى لَيْتَنِي لَمْ أَتَّخِذْ فُلَانًا خَلِيلًاO(28)

ہائے افسوس! کاش میں نے فلاں شخص کو دوست نہ بنایا ہوتاo

Ah! Woe to me! Would that I had not taken such a one for a friend!

لَقَدْ أَضَلَّنِي عَنِ الذِّكْرِ بَعْدَ إِذْ جَاءَنِي وَكَانَ الشَّيْطَانُ لِلْإِنسَانِ خَذُولًاO(29)

بیشک اس نے میرے پاس نصیحت آجانے کے بعد مجھے اس سے بہکا دیا، اور شیطان انسان کو (مصیبت کے وقت) بے یار و مددگار چھوڑ دینے والا ہےo

Surely he led me astray from the direction and guidance after it had come to me, and Satan leaves man helpless and forlorn (in the time of distress).

وَقَالَ الرَّسُولُ يَا رَبِّ إِنَّ قَوْمِي اتَّخَذُوا هَذَا الْقُرْآنَ مَهْجُورًاO(30)

اور رسولِ (اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) عرض کریں گے: اے رب! بیشک میری قوم نے اس قرآن کو بالکل ہی چھوڑ رکھا تھاo

And the (Holy) Messenger (blessings and peace be upon him) will submit: ‘O Lord, surely my people had utterly abandoned this Qur’an.’
