Translation of The Holy Quran

37. As-Saffah (Those Ranges in Ranks)

أُوْلَئِكَ لَهُمْ رِزْقٌ مَّعْلُومٌ(41)

یہی وہ لوگ ہیں جن کے لئے (صبح و شام) رزقِ خاص مقرّر ہے

It is they for whom a special provision is appointed (morning and evening),

فَوَاكِهُ وَهُم مُّكْرَمُونَ(42)

(ہر قسم کے) میوے ہوں گے، اور ان کی تعظیم و تکریم ہوگی

Fruits (of every kind). And they will be honoured and venerated,

فِي جَنَّاتِ النَّعِيمِ(43)

نعمتوں اور راحتوں کے باغات میں (مقیم ہوں گے)

(Abiding) in Gardens of Bliss and Bounty,

عَلَى سُرُرٍ مُّتَقَابِلِينَ(44)

تختوں پر مسند لگائے آمنے سامنے (جلوہ افروز ہوں گے)

(Making spiritual disclosures) face to face on raised couches.

يُطَافُ عَلَيْهِم بِكَأْسٍ مِّن مَّعِينٍ(45)

اُن پر چھلکتی ہوئی شرابِ (طہور) کے جام کا دور چل رہا ہوگا

Round them will be passed cups of (sacred) over-flowing drink.

بَيْضَاءَ لَذَّةٍ لِّلشَّارِبِينَ(46)

جو نہایت سفید ہوگی، پینے والوں کے لئے سراسر لذّت ہوگی

It will be sparkling white and superbly delicious, a treat for those who drink.

لَا فِيهَا غَوْلٌ وَلَا هُمْ عَنْهَا يُنْزَفُونَ(47)

نہ اس میں کوئی ضرر یا سَر کا چکرانا ہوگا اور نہ وہ اس (کے پینے) سے بہک سکیں گے

It will neither cause any vertigo nor do any harm, nor will they lose balance (after drinking it).

وَعِنْدَهُمْ قَاصِرَاتُ الطَّرْفِ عِينٌ(48)

اور ان کے پہلو میں نگاہیں نیچی رکھنے والی، بڑی خوبصورت آنکھوں والی (حوریں بیٹھی) ہوں گی

And beside them will be (sitting chaste women) with downcast looks and wide beautiful eyes,

كَأَنَّهُنَّ بَيْضٌ مَّكْنُونٌ(49)

(وہ سفید و دلکش رنگت میں ایسے لگیں گی) گویا گرد و غبار سے محفوظ انڈے (رکھے) ہوں

(Fair, white charming complexion, they will look) as if they were eggs protected from dust.

فَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ يَتَسَاءَلُونَ(50)

پھر وہ (جنّتی) آپس میں متوجہ ہو کر ایک دوسرے سے (حال و احوال) دریافت کریں گے

Then those (residents of Paradise) will turn to one another and mutually inquire (about well-being).
