Translation of The Holy Quran

80. ‘Abasa (He Frowned)

ثُمَّ أَمَاتَهُ فَأَقْبَرَهُO(21)

پھر اسے موت دی، پھر اسے قبر میں (دفن) کر دیا گیاo

Then caused him to die and (buried him) into a grave.

ثُمَّ إِذَا شَاءَ أَنشَرَهُO(22)

پھر جب وہ چاہے گا اسے (دوبارہ زندہ کر کے) کھڑا کرے گاo

Then whenever He wills, He will raise them up (alive again).

كَلَّا لَمَّا يَقْضِ مَا أَمَرَهُO(23)

یقیناً اس (نافرمان انسان) نے وہ (حق) پورا نہ کیا جس کا اسے (اللہ نے) حکم دیا تھاo

Indeed he (the disobedient man) did not fulfil that (obligatory due) which (Allah) had commanded him.

فَلْيَنظُرِ الْإِنسَانُ إِلَى طَعَامِهِO(24)

پس انسان کو چاہیے کہ اپنی غذا کی طرف دیکھے (اور غور کرے)o

So man should look at his food (and ponder).

أَنَّا صَبَبْنَا الْمَاءَ صَبًّاO(25)

بیشک ہم نے خوب زور سے پانی برسایاo

Indeed We pour down water in torrents.

ثُمَّ شَقَقْنَا الْأَرْضَ شَقًّاO(26)

پھر ہم نے زمین کو پھاڑ کر چیر ڈالاo

Then We split the earth and tear it asunder.

فَأَنبَتْنَا فِيهَا حَبًّاO(27)

پھر ہم نے اس میں اناج اگایاo

We then grow from it grain,

وَعِنَبًا وَقَضْبًاO(28)

اور انگور اور ترکاریo

And grapes and vegetables,

وَزَيْتُونًا وَنَخْلًاO(29)

اور زیتون اور کھجورo

And the olive and the date palm,

وَحَدَائِقَ غُلْبًاO(30)

اور گھنے گھنے باغاتo

And thickly planted dense gardens,
